Purpose:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Cylinder Handler is responsible for the following:
What you’ll do:
-
Cylinder venting, valving and devalving
-
Cylinder preparation as required by production orders and plant needs
-
Cylinder empty Kanban organization, and maintenance of minimum inventory levels
-
Cylinder label scraping, painting, labelling and shipping functions
-
Cylinder unloading and sorting into the empty Kanbans
-
Cylinder loading for shipping and yard storage
-
Yard organization and maintenance of cylinder inventories
-
Recommend new procedures and ideas to help improve our processes
-
Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Company’s SHEQ program
-
Bring to management’s attention any safety issues and any issues that may potentially cause orders to go late
-
Support management on any projects or processes needing assistance or improvement
-
Work cooperatively with plant employees and with management to help meet the plant goals
What it takes:
Education and Experience:
- High school education or equivalent experience
Key Skills and Attributes:

Basic computer skills required
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Fluent in English
-
Demonstrated team player
-
Able to lift up 50lbs
-
Minimum high school education
