Job Description & Requirements

  • Please note: term of employment is as stated above OR return of incumbent.

We are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:

  • A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
  • A major/minor in the sciences, and a strong academic background.
  • Demonstrated ability to instruct the sciences at the high school level.
  • Demonstrated ability in the differentiation of instruction and evaluation to meet the needs of all learners.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

  • Previous successful senior years teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience with English as an Additional Language learners.
  • Experience with "E" sheltered content area programming.
  • Knowledge and understanding of teaching literacy through the curriculum.
  • Knowledge, skills and ability to infuse technology into the curriculum.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in delivery a quality program.
