Your area of focus.

We’re looking for a Sourcing Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition team on a 12-month contract.

This role is all about finding and connecting with the best. You’ll be responsible for proactively identifying, engaging, and attracting high-caliber talent for key roles, especially General Managers, Technicians, and other hard-to-fill positions across our network.

Working with our Talent Acquisition Partners, you’ll create and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates, ensuring we stay ahead of hiring needs and continue to bring exceptional people into AutoCanada.

This position is ideal for someone who is resourceful, analytical, and proactive, someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited by the challenge of uncovering top talent through creativity and persistence.

What drives your day-to- day ?

  • Proactively source and build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for critical roles, focusing on General Managers, Technicians, and other specialized positions.
  • Deeply mine internal systems, job boards, and publicly available data to uncover passive talent.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Partners to develop and execute targeted outreach strategies and personalized campaigns that generate interest in current and future opportunities.
  • Initiate direct outreach to potential candidates and conduct initial contact conversations to gauge interest and fit .
  • Provide regular insights into talent availability, competitor activity, and market trends to support data-driven recruitment strategies.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Partners to ensure a seamless candidate handoff and positive experience.
  • Maintain candidate records and pipeline metrics using AutoCanada’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Participate in team meetings, strategic projects, and recruitment events as needed.

What are the must-haves…

  • 2+ years of experience in sourcing, recruitment, or talent acquisition (automotive industry experience an asset).
  • Hands-on experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume Search , and other sourcing platforms to identify and engage top talent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with a creative approach to candidate sourcing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills. Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
