Status
Position Summary
Food Preparers provide food service support to students, staff and visitors in various locations across the Division.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
-
preparing a variety of hot and cold food items including baked goods
-
setting up and cleaning food preparation, dining and banquet areas
-
maintaining safety and sanitation standards
-
operating cash register and point of sale terminal
-
assisting in the maintenance of inventory
-
wash and store dishes, pots and cooking utensils in compliance with Health Safety guidelines
Education/Qualifications
-
diploma in Culinary Arts, Journeyperson Cook or Baker certification will be considered
-
Food Safety Certification or equivalent, First Aid, WHMIS
-
one year of food preparation experience
-
excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills
-
ability to work flexible hours
Rate of Pay
$22.89 per hour
