We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative team player who wants to make an impact on our organization and community as Customer Ambassador!
As Customer Ambassador you will investigate all inquiries received through Customer Service and manage active and long-term files, providing solutions to complex inquiries and issues, liaising with members of the community and stakeholders to provide information and resolutions, as well as:
- Providing exceptional customer service experiences to residents/customers, external parties, and internal service partners with a focus on the effective deployment of Town resources
- Managing a ward-based portfolio of active public inquiry files ranging from routine to complex and/or escalations taking ownership of customer and stakeholder inquiries that require further action, investigation, and/or internal consultation
- Monitoring and identifying potential problems/conflicts proactively taking steps to minimize or negate them; consulting with team/stakeholders, and providing guidance in navigating applicable policies
- Providing access to Town resources by offering Customer Service at various Town and shared services facilities during non-tradition hours and will partner with service areas to move forward cross-functional initiatives with the goal of elevating services to our community
- Acting as Deputy Lottery Licensing Officer and designate for Town Clerk for all aspects of the Lottery Licensing program as authorized by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate has:

Community College diploma (2 or 3 year) in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Customer Service, or related field required. Consideration provided to candidates possessing a high school diploma (or recognized equivalent) and five (5) years of demonstrated experience in a high-volume customer service environment.

Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a high-volume customer service environment required.

Requirement to work from various Town and shared services facilities, including but not limited to the Town Hall, Innisfil Recreation Complex, Innisfil Public Library, etc.

High level of proficiency in interpreting, implementing, and communicating information in By-laws, policies and procedures.

A valid Class ‘G’ Driver’s license and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.

Personal flexibility required to work assigned schedule, including days, afternoons, evenings and weekends to provide expanded services to our community. Ability to accommodate deadlines, with peak period workloads that may extend beyond the normally scheduled workday and/or occur on evenings/weekends.
