Case Aide - Holocaust Survivor Services (Russian Speaking)
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver services aligned with JF&CS programs, focusing on Holocaust assessments and client support
- Act as the first point of contact for Holocaust Survivor Services (HSS); handle inquiries, screen for eligibility, and respond to urgent concerns
- Support clients and families by sharing community resources and conducting safety screenings; provide front-line intervention when appropriate
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the case management system
- Liaise with internal teams and community partners to support case management plans
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling, document preparation, and case routing
- Assist social workers and staff across the Holocaust team
- Ensure documentation and records are completed and maintained in a timely manner
- Support program operations through various administrative tasks as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Social Services or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in social services or community-based organizations
- Experience supporting trauma survivors; expertise with Holocaust survivors is a strong asset
- Fluency in spoken Russian is required; ability to read and write Russian is an asset
- Knowledge of Jewish history, culture, and community needs is a strong asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Russian
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with databases or case management systems
- High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Trauma-informed, client-centered, and culturally sensitive approach
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
