About the role
The Industrial Park Stock Mover is responsible to carry out the instructions given to them by the Production Manager. They are responsible for following the schedule on each production line and ensuring that all the components for the jobs are at the operator's disposal in a timely manner. The Industrial Park Stock Mover performs their duties using a variety of forklifts.
The successful candidate will work on 12-hour day shifts per week as follows:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday, 6 AM - 6 PM
Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday, 6 AM - 6 PM

Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED/Mature Student Diploma
- Experience operating and using small tools
- Effective English use and comprehension
- Digital Literacy (Microsoft Office, keyboarding skills)
- Essential Math skills (Metric and Imperial measurements, problem-solving, conversion charts, etc.)
- Effective use of production-related documents to accomplish job tasks
- Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities in product
- Demonstrated organization, prioritizing, time and stress management skills
- Able to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Continuous learning/improvement mindset
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating self-management capabilities
- Able to deal with people diplomatically and professionally at all times
- Excellent manual dexterity
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts
- Must be willing to work at all Friesens facilities as needed
- Knowledge of workplace safety, safe lifting, and handling procedures
- Forklift experience and asset
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work and communicate effectively with the Managers and co-workers
- Manage stock and skids for an efficient production flow
- Locate the material ensuring correct quantity and type
- Identify stock and input necessary information into PrintStream
- Deliver and/or store as required
- Move stock between cost centers as required
- Prepare and move stock for work being transferred to other facilities
- Move materials as needed
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Practice Friesens safety procedures
- Perform any other job assignments by the Production or Operations Managers at Industrial Park location
