We are looking for a Camp Coordinator to join our team! If you believe in the importance of play in spaces that are welcoming, inviting, and full of opportunity for endless WANDER and limitless WONDER for children to explore and grow within the world around them, this role might be perfect for you!
The Camp Coordinator is a leader who is interested in putting leadership to practice through supporting camp program operations while connecting with children. They possess excellent planning and organizational skills as well as are responsive and able to quickly adapt and communicate plans as required.
The Ideal Candidate:

Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education
-
Current knowledge and understanding of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)
-
Thorough knowledge of How Does Learning Happen?
-
Experience working with children in a child care setting
-
Record of up-to-date Immunization (TB Test, Tetanus, Polio, MMR)

Registered Early Childhood Educator, in good standing
-
Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification
-
Current Vulnerable Sector Check (done in the last 6 months)

Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead children in play-based learning experiences that spark curiosity and growth.
- Document learning stories and “Mission Moments” to showcase impact to families and the community.
- Plan and facilitate community outings
- Ability to build quality relationships within the community and with our families and children we serve.
- Contribute to the development of innovative educational programs and share your ideas with the team.
- Adherence and enforcement of Today’s Family policies and procedures, Ministry of Education Guidelines, health and safety and human resources best practices.
- Work with the team to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
- Ensure confidentiality of privileged information.
- Be innovative in their approach to alignment with Ontario’s emergent curriculum and guiding pedagogical philosophy, How Does Learning Happen?’
