Job Summary
Reporting to the Secretary-Treasurer, the Director, Information Technology provides strategic leadership and oversight of the Abbotsford School District’s IT infrastructure, systems, and services. This role is responsible for developing and executing technology roadmaps that align with the district’s strategic pillars, leveraging technology to enhance educational outcomes while ensuring data integrity, privacy, and security. Key areas of focus include enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT operations, telecommunications, and client services. The Director, Information Technology leads a high-performing team committed to collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation, while cultivating strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with a master’s degree preferred. They will bring a minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, ideally within the education or public sector. The ideal candidate will evidence strong knowledge of Microsoft leading software and network supports including Microsoft 365/Azure. Demonstrate proven expertise in IT enterprise systems, infrastructure management, and cyber security, along with strong budget, financial, and project management experience and skills. Exceptional communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
We Offer
The salary range for this position is $159,519 to $177,243 per year with a comprehensive benefits package and municipal pension contributions.
