About the Organization
The Respiratory Epidemiology Research Team conducts research related to lung health across the lifespan as well as the epidemiology of respiratory diseases. The research program includes studies that collect primary data, analyses of secondary data as well as evidence synthesis projects.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Research Assistant will support research activities related to lung health and will also contribute to general research activities and support the PI across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
-
Collecting internal data from various departments.
-
Interpreting the results to find trends and information that’s useful for corporate decision-making.

Presenting the data and statistical findings to the organization’s executive team.

Consolidating numerical data into databases.
-
Using statistical software to perform an analysis of the numbers.
-
Applying various calculations and formulas to analyze and interpret the data and ensuring the data and calculations are accurate.
Note
Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.
Required Qualifications
-
Undergraduate degree in statistics or epidemiology and experience working with data/analytical tools (or equivalent combination of training and experience)

Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to analyze and synthesize information for research reports; proactively provide input, coordinate and organize work.

Ability to work independently, as well as part of multidisciplinary team.

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.

Demonstrated experience working with quantitative data analysis and statistical software in R.
Assets

Previous work experience with respiratory outcomes data.
