About the workplace
As a Senior Financial Services Representative, you will leverage your communication skills as you effectively manage complex situations, problem solve and provide personalized advice. Member's complex inquiries will be satisfied in a timely manner and within established service standards. Financial Services Representatives will grow through your transfer of knowledge and expertise to assure member’s needs are met, thus helping Vancity redefine wealth consistent with branch objectives. You will also bring a strong knowledge of Vancity's policies, procedures, systems and software.
This is a Full-time, Temporary role located at Maillardville Community Branch (Branch 51) and reports directly to the Assistant Branch Manager.
A typical day would involve:
- Performing member transactions consistent with established standards so that a high level of quality service delivery is achieved
- Identifying and assessing member/prospect needs to provide appropriate products, services and referrals
- Providing ongoing technical support to the service team (new and tenured) so that member experience standards are achieved
- Applying branch service standards and supporting adherence to policies and procedures
- Applying and supporting adherence to controls to meet compliance and security requirements and mitigate risk

You Have:
- A High School Diploma - At a minimum, you have graduated high school and/or equivalent
- Customer Service Experience - At least 1 year of working experience interacting with people and / or businesses
Bonus Points:
- Cross training or past work experience in a leadership capacity
- Call center and branch experience
- Post Secondary Education/Diploma (Related Discipline)
Pay Rate: As this is a union role, the salary will be as per the collective agreement salary grid starting at $32.83 (Grp 4, Step 1)
