Summary:
DMC is currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a full-time contract basis, based in our Vaughan, Ontario Office. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be reporting to the Corporate Controller, the incumbent will be responsible for providing Accounts Receivable support to the business.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the full cycle of accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner.
- Generate and post customer invoices
- Analyze receivable accounts and contact customers on past due balances.
- Maintain monthly reconciliation between AR subledger and general ledger.
- Record cash receipt journals, other entries and cash flow reports as required.
- Ensure all deadlines are met for accounts receivable closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Issue weekly aging reports and contract accrual analysis to operations for review.
- Prepare monthly statements or other reports as requested.
- Perform credit card reconciliations, journal entries and process payments.
- Perform other month end duties and journal entries
- Assist with accounts payable functions
- Such other duties may be assigned from time to time.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
- 2+ years of accounts receivable experience.
- Technically adept with intermediate skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word); experience with ERP systems is preferred (D365,) or other Microsoft-based systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to process a high volume of transactions/ emails.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies and work with a high degree of accuracy with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in the work environment.
- Ability to follow and understand processes and controls.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with internal and external audiences.

1980 The company was founded in 1980 as Dynatec Mining Limited. In its second year in business, it started building the Macassa Mine shaft, for which, it still holds the record for the deepest single-lift timbered shaft in the world.
1992 DMC developed the Long Round Concept for shaft sinking, an innovation that improved productivity by 20%.
2013 The company initiated and developed leading edge, shaft sinking technology using Shaft Boring Roadheaders (SBRs) designed and built in Germany for a twin shaft project in Canada.
2015 DMC's Jansen team performed the first ever installation of shaft tubing using a robotic arm called the Blairmore Ring Erector (BRE).
2019 First full completion of 2 x 1000 metre BHP Billiton’s Jansen Shaft project using SBR technology.
