Responsibilities What does a typical day look like as a Maintenance Supervisor?

• Plan mechanical maintenance activities;
• Supervise a team of 6 unionized heavy equipment mechanics, a storekeeper, and a yard attendant;
• Ensure follow-up on preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance;
• Guarantee the availability of equipment required for operations;
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety rules;
• Support the ongoing training and development of mechanics;
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives;
• Manage planned shutdowns;
• Coordinate and follow up with various suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications To be successful as a Maintenance Supervisor, you must have:

• A DEC in Industrial Maintenance or a DEP in Heavy Equipment Mechanics;
• Approximately five (5) years of experience in the heavy industry sector;
• Experience supervising unionized employees;
• Good knowledge of the MS Office suite;
• Strong expertise in port equipment mechanics;
• Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written. Given the diversity of our workforce and the need to communicate with local, pan-Canadian, and international clients and partners, proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken, is required;
• Knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) such as Interal or SAP (an asset).
