About the role
Foremost has an immediate opening for a Sandblaster located at our facility in Lloydminster, AB
Responsibilities:

Operate and service all equipment associated with sandblasting

Use sandblasting equipment with specified media
-
Prepare components to be protected from abrasives
-
Conform to quality control standards and construction specifications, drawings, sketches, layout boards etc. and/or verbal instructions
-
Read, understand and follow working instructions/directions, policies and procedures
-
Report status of jobs in progress and upcoming production plans
-
Maintain frequent contact with QC and Production to ensure all blasting requirements are met
-
Follow the company safe work procedures and legislated safety requirements
-
Keep a clean work environment
-
Comply with all WHMIS and environmental regulations regarding the storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials
-
Assist painters and insulators when needed and any other job-related tasks
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-year oil storage tank internal and external blasting experience
- Sandblasting experience would be an asset
- NACE Coating Inspector level I/II/III would be an asset
- Familiarity with tank, vessel and pipe coating
- Ability to calculate values in Metric and Imperial
- Ability to give and take clear direction; verbal and written
- Hand tools required
- WHIMIS, H2S, Fall Protection, Confined Space Training
