Role: Data Integration Engineer Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Long Term Contract Role:
Job Summary :We are seeking an experienced Integration Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SQL Server, and Python. You will play a key role in building scalable ETL processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring data integrity in complex financial data environments
. Key Responsibilitie s:Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes using SQL, SSIS, and Python to ensure reliable data ingestion, transformation, and loadin g.Develop and maintain SSIS packages and SQL scripts for data integration workflow s.Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements, ensuring solutions meet business need s.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues promptly to maintain data quality and consistenc y.Implement data validation and data quality checks as part of ETL pipeline s.Participate in code reviews, version control, and deployment pipelines, utilizing tools like Git and CI/CD framework s.Document integration processes, workflows, and technical specification s.Keep abreast of industry best practices and leverage new tools and technologies to improve data workflow
s. Required Qualificatio ns:8 to 10+ years of experience in data integration, ETL development, and data warehousi ng.Strong expertise in SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuni ng.Extensive experience with SSIS and SQL Server technologi es.Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and building data pipelin es.Experience working in finance or investment banking environments is highly preferr ed.Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployme nt.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issu es.Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholde
rs. Preferred Qualificati ons:Solid understanding of financial data structures, reporting standards, and accounting princip les.Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, including data lake architectu res.Knowledge of financial instruments, trading systems, or portfolio management to ols.Exposure to data governance, security standards, and regulatory compliance in financial setti ngs.Experience with other data integration tools or platforms is a p
