SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
The Senior Market Access Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of market access and pricing strategies for the rare disease portfolio in Canada. The role ensures successful HTA outcomes, optimal reimbursement, and pricing alignment to enable patient access. Operating in a lean environment, the position owns both access and pricing responsibilities and works cross-functionally with Medical, Commercial, and Finance teams, while also supporting private payer reimbursement and patient advocacy initiatives.
MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead end-to-end market access strategy across the product lifecycle to secure optimal reimbursement and patient access in Canada Own development of the Canadian reimbursement dossier and localization of the Global Value Dossier (GVD), incorporating Canadian clinical, economic, and epidemiological evidence Guide products through HTA processes (CADTH, INESSS), ensuring aligned evidence and timely outcomes Define and execute integrated access and pricing strategies, including list price setting and lifecycle optimization Support pCPA and private payer negotiations to maximize coverage and value Partner cross-functionally (Medical, Commercial, Finance) to align on value proposition, forecasting, and net pricing assumptions Collaborate with private payer teams to expand and maintain coverage Engage with patient organizations and stakeholders to support advocacy and access objectives Build and maintain relationships with payers, clinicians, and key decision-makers Monitor reimbursement and policy changes to proactively adapt strategy Contribute to brand planning and strategic business decisions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or related field Advanced degree (MSc, PharmD, MBA) is an asset
EXPERIENCE
5–10 years of experience in Market Access, Pricing, Reimbursement, or related roles in pharmaceutical/biotech industry Experience with HTA submissions, pricing strategy, and payer negotiations Experience in rare diseases or specialty care preferred
SKILLS
Strong understanding of Canadian payer system (CADTH, INESSS, pCPA, private payers) Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, including pricing and forecasting alignment Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to operate effectively in a broad, hands-on role in a lean environment
OTHER
Ability to work remotely or from Montreal office High level of ownership, adaptability, and accountability
