Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Investor Relations and Performance Measurement, the Vice-President, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Treasury CFO (VP) is accountable for leading the strategic, financial and business planning and forecasting processes enterprise wide. The VP is responsible for optimizing and developing the processes and tools used in the creation of our bank’s financial and strategic plans and forecasts. In that capacity, the VP is also responsible for a team that manages the long-term strategic plan, consolidated enterprise annual financial plan, quarterly estimates and monthly financial estimates for presentation to the various senior stakeholders. The VP will liaise with CFO groups, Corporate Strategy, Treasury and other key stakeholders to ensure that planning and forecasting activities and related deliverables are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
The Vice-President is responsible for overseeing the consolidated management reporting close for both month-end and quarter-end processes. This VP ensures the timely and accurate closure of the general ledger in collaboration with the Financial Consolidations team. The incumbent will work closely with stakeholders across Finance to deliver comprehensive variance analysis and provide insights into key financial drivers. A core responsibility is to consolidate financial analysis and deliver monthly performance presentations to the Global Executive Leadership Team, enabling a clear understanding of organizational performance and supporting strategic decision-making.
The VP also supports the SVP, Investor Relations & Performance Measurement in managing consolidated performance measurement across the organization. This includes the preparation of Board-level scorecards and management dashboards. Additionally, the Vice-President plays a key role in supporting Investor Relations during the quarter-end cycle and preparations for quarterly investor calls.
As the CFO for Treasury, the role is accountable for providing leadership and oversight of Treasury’s financial and regulatory accounting and reporting, and financial controls. In this capacity, the role acts as the second line of defense and effective challenge for all CIBC Treasury statutory and regulatory financial reporting.

What You’ll be Doing
- End-to-end Enterprise Planning Transformation: Lead our bank’s end-to-end planning transformation, including the implementation of new technology and driver-based financial planning reporting and monitoring tools. This Includes:
- Planning and Forecasting: Build the high-level enterprise plan and forecasts based on assumptions and guidance provided by the business CFO groups, Treasury and Corporate Strategy.
- Accounting and Treasury CFO: Provide leadership and oversight of accounting deliverables (books and records), produced by Finance Controllership for legal entities located in CIBC Treasury in accordance with accounting pronouncements, regulations and CIBC technical accounting policies including CIBC governance and control framework.
- Reporting: Oversee month end and quarterly management reporting close process for consolidated bank results.
