Position: Accounts Receivable Clerk
Location: Canusa Headquarters
Type of Employment: Full-time permanent
Compensation: Competitive wage based on experience, and comprehensive group benefits
Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required when supporting marketing tasks

Position Summary
Canusa/APC fosters long-lasting relationships with our customers. We establish connections built on trust, transparency, and dedication. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily processing of received payments and postings to customers’ accounts, filing, keeping records and maintaining the status of accounts.

Key Responsibilities
- Regularly contact customers to aid in the collection of payments
- Monitor customer accounts for inconsistencies to facilitate prompt payment of invoices
- Accurately keep records and file documents, both physically and digitally
- Accurately set up customer accounts in accordance with established procedures
- Assist the marketing department with the planning, promotion and execution of company-wide events for our valued employees and customers
- Maintain thorough records of conversation history with clients
- Process received payments and post to the correct accounts
- Maintain strong communication and teamwork with the office staff, clients and management team to maintain efficient business operations
Required Skills and Abilities
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook; data entry; typing; web navigation; research; online database usage; web-based training)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- High level of professionalism
- Positive attitude with a flexible mindset
- Basic mathematical skills and understanding of basic units of measure
- Health & safety-conscious (e.g. practice good hand hygiene, safe material handling practices)
- Accountability and dependability
- Time management skills and prioritization skills with a deadline-oriented mindset
- Excellent ability to work independently and as a team
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong willingness to improve, learn and adapt in accordance with new practices and change
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and take initiative as necessary
