Human Resources Manager

The location in Coosa Pines, Alabama is seeking talent to fill the position of Human Resources Manager. This job is full-time and onsite.
Primary Purpose
To provide effective Human Resources services to the Coosa Pines Mill that enhance the organization’s value through its people.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Guide and support the people-management functions that drive our business results, including employee engagement, training and development processes.
- Manage all aspects of employee relations, including leadership of the labor management process.
- Lead recruitment and retention efforts that include talent management and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with all legal obligations pertaining to employment.
- Provide guidance and support for health, safety, environmental and quality strategies that ensure protection of employee and company property, safety, health environmental compliance and product quality.
- Guide efforts to improve employee communications and community relations.
- Manage operating budget and guide financial performance of the department.
- Manage site security services through third-party provider.
- Manage Worker’s compensation process, including the post-injury management procedures.
- Coach and counsel employees to promote maximum performance.
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum four-year degree in Human Resources or a related field. Master’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations preferred.
- Manufacturing/Industrial experience required.
- At least 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in the HR field, including experience in labor relations and track record in fostering labor-management collaboration.
- Demonstrated proficiency at achieving results and leading organizational change while adhering to stated Company values.
- Strong understanding of State and Federal employment law, including workers’ compensation.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities to meet short and long term objectives.
- Outstanding communication skills, including ability to quickly build rapport with all members of the organization.
- Solid analytical skills and the ability to quickly make sound decisions based on experience and judgment even when the information available is incomplete and/or you are under pressure;
- Project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Excellent conflict resolution skills.
