Title: Retail Supervisor
Department: Rentals & Retail
Reports to: Rentals & Retail Manager
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Rental & Retail Manager, this is a seasonal position November to April. Flexibility in shifts is important; during the operational season both day and afternoon/ evening shifts will be required. You are part of the retail management team, and as such your daily responsibility will be assisting in the smooth operation of all retail outlets. You are to primarily fulfil all functions of a supervisor in addition to the responsibilities outlined below.
Responsibilities:
- Assist visual merchandising across all retail locations.
- Create and maintain monthly inventory systems with the assistance of the Retail staff.
- Assist Rental & Retail Manager with creating annual retail strategy and winter buying plans.
- Attend annual trade shows and assist Rental & Retail Manager in executive buying strategy.
- Assist in developing retail marketing and promotional strategy.
- Aid the Rental & Retail Manager with development of a retail Ecommerce platform.
- Contribute towards maintaining and curating relationships with key industry partners.
- Assist in providing Retail cashiers all tools and assistance needed to successfully sell and complete their duties.
- Share responsibility of staff scheduling utilizing When I Work or other 3rd party software.
- Contribute to keeping an accurate and organized Clover register system. You will assist in controlling, adjusting, and inputting products into the system.
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge.
- Assist with meeting monthly sales targets and contribute ideas on profitable improvements.
- Continually observe and compile feedback on the retail operations success, failure and opportunities reporting to the Rental & Retail Manager and actively contributing to management meetings.
- Be knowledgeable of mountain daily activities, special events, guest facilities and all promotional material available to guests
- Other related duties as required
WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU:

Post-secondary education
-
Able to lift 40 lbs of equipment/gear for up to 1 km.

Sustain physical activity for 8 working hours,
-
Stand for 8 working hours,
-
Minimum 1 years’ experience in a high-volume environment, area of work should relate to retail and visual merchandising.

Minimum 1 Year experience in retail buying and inventory control
-
Previous supervisory experience of a seasonal and young workforce.
-
Advanced level of MS Word and Excel. Excellent communication and guest services skills.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Seasonal, full-time position.

$23 per hour, depending on experience.
