Job Details
The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Fire Services department as an Administrative Assistant II.
Reporting to Senior Administrative Assistant, this position will be responsible for providing a range of entry level support, reception and customer service to the Fire Services department staff and residents of St. Albert.
Qualifications

High School Diploma combined with three (3) years of related administrative support experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience with payroll processing, accounts receivable/accounts payable, or in municipal government.

Completion of, or working toward, a post secondary administrative certificate program (such as an Office Administration Certificate) is preferred.

Strong word and data processing skills using programs of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Knowledge of basic accounting or financial process would be an asset.

Strong time management and organization skills, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the Protection of Privacy and Health Information Acts.
Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
Hours of Work
We offer a compressed bi-weekly work schedule of 72 hours, Monday - Friday, 7:30 – 4:30 or 8:00 – 5:00, with a biweekly regular day off (RDO).
Compensation
- The salary ranges from $52,211 – $62,314 per annum including a comprehensive benefits package with a Flexible Spending Account and Pension Plan.

- Candidates not meeting the full qualifications may be considered for a development opportunity at a lower classification and salary.
