To support our continued growth and commitment, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Alberta and British Columbia team.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for promoting Atlas-Apex’s many trades and securing new business. The role focuses on building and maintaining a strong client base through direct and indirect prospecting, servicing existing accounts, and expanding the company’s presence locally, provincially, and nationally. The Business Development Manager addresses client concerns, collaborates with the operational team to achieve revenue targets, and operates under general supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Develop and implement sales and relationship-building strategies to maximize market potential and client satisfaction Identify and pursue prospective clients using internal and external resources to create new opportunities Promote and sell the company’s services to corporate and commercial clients, building owners, and developers to secure new accounts and generate repeat business Strengthen relationships with existing clients through regular contact and promotion of value-added services Plan and execute in-person client visits and growth calls to increase market presence, with consistent follow-ups to close sales opportunities Use local system database and corporate CRM platform to track and analyze individual business development efforts Assist with the preparation and delivery of Proposals, Quotations and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring completeness and accuracy
Client & Operations Collaboration
Manage incoming client requests and coordinate with operations to provide solutions Serve as a liaison between clients and operations personnel to maintain strong working relationships Support operations in resolving client issues or outstanding needs as required Participate in sales meetings, industry events and trade shows as required Represent the company at professional and social events, conventions, and client functions, which may require occasional evening or travel commitments Travel locally within the metropolitan area on a daily basis
Qualifications/Skills
Education & Experience High school diploma minimum. University or college diploma preferred, but not mandatory Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in sales, business development and client relationship management an asset Experience in the building and construction industries preferred Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required High level of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and polished demeanor Proven ability to build relationships, influence customers and sales strategies Self-motivated, independent, and able to manage multiple tasks while working collaboratively with operations Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
