About the role
We are hiring an Accounts Receivable Associate to work from our head office in Vaughan, Ontario Monday-Friday permanent full-time on-site position.
The Accounts Receivable Associate is an imperative member of our Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role focuses on full-cycle accounts receivable and merchant charge-back duties and ensure accurate and efficient accounts receivable administration through maintaining and approving AR functions and processes.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with policies and procedures.

Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, sorting, entering, posting, and saving AR’s data.
-
Prepare and post credits, invoices, bank deposits, and merchant chargebacks.
-
Reconcile the AR ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
-
Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues.
-
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contracting clients.
-
Identify day-to-day priorities and ensure the work is completed on time with 100% accuracy.

Report competitive activity, retail requests, and broker feedback to internal

Run, review, and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly

Communicate and consistently monitor progress with customers, sales and the management/executive teams.

Meeting and exceeding provided

All other duties and projects as assigned.
Job Qualifications & Requirements
-
A degree or post-secondary diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

Minimum two (2) years of Accounts Receivable experience required.
-
Solid understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
-
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
-
Experienced in handling rebate calculations and merchandise chargebacks.
-
Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
-
Proficiency in MS Office Suites and Excel are a must; hands-on experience operating spreadsheets and accounting software/ERP.

Effective attention to detail and a high degree of data entry accuracy.
-
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills when dealing with coworkers and customers.

Must be able to work autonomously and cross-collaboratively with other departments.

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Jonluca Neal is a privately-owned natural foods distribution company founded in 2023 after the merger of Jonluca Enterprises and Neal Brothers Distribution. The company employs 130 people and operates out of a 77,000 sq ft state-of-the-art tri-temp facility in the GTA and a tri-temp 20,000 sq ft warehouse in Burnaby, BC.
Jonluca Neal’s five founders have more than 150 years of Canadian natural food industry experience and bring together their warehousing, distribution, product, and brand recognition strengths to create Canada’s largest national, family-owned natural food distribution company. The newly merged business will represent; ambient, refrigerated, and frozen goods from coast to coast.
Jonluca and Neal Brothers have each successfully blazed trails in the organic and natural food space and Jonluca Neal will continue to build upon this success. The new entity will operate out of a state-of-the-art facility in the GTA along with a Burnaby, BC warehouse.
