As a growing industry leader providing home comfort solutions to over 250,000 Canadian customers each year, we are seeking an experienced and driven Service Supervisor to lead both our Plumbing and HVAC departments.

Position Overview

The Service Supervisor will oversee the day to day operations, performance, and growth of both the Plumbing and HVAC service and installation departments. This role requires a strong leader who can balance operational efficiency, team development, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. The ideal candidate brings technical trade knowledge, leadership experience, and a proven ability to drive results in a fast paced service environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop plumbing and HVAC technicians, installers, and support staff
  • Conduct regular ride alongs and quality control checks
  • Train and onboard new employees
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and performance driven team culture
  • Maintain clear communication with dispatch, technicians, and senior management

Operations and Scheduling

  • Oversee daily scheduling of service and installation work
  • Plan, organize, direct, and supervise field crews
  • Review service and installation packages prior to release
  • Approve timesheets and monitor productivity
  • Assist in the field during high demand periods when required
  • Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met

Customer Experience

  • Address customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Oversee quality control and workmanship standards
  • Support online reputation management including Google Reviews
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards and local regulations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in plumbing and or HVAC service and installation
  • Journeyman certification in Plumbing, Gasfitting, Refrigeration, or related trade is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience managing a team in a service or trade environment
  • Strong understanding of residential service, installation, and remove and replace projects
  • Knowledge of local plumbing and HVAC codes and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency with scheduling, inventory, and performance tracking systems
  • Valid driver’s license with suitable driving abstract
