About the Role As a Frontend Developer I at Hiredbuddy, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for creating and maintaining user-facing web applications. You'll work closely with designers, backend developers, and product managers to turn requirements into interactive, accessible, and performant interfaces. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of frontend technologies while contributing to real-world projects that impact our users daily.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Implement designs from Figma or Sketch, ensuring visual accuracy and cross-browser compatibility. Collaborate with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs and handle data presentation. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and suggest improvements. Work in an agile environment, attending stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Assist in maintaining component libraries and design systems. Troubleshoot and resolve UI issues reported by users or QA.
Required Skills
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+). Familiarity with at least one modern framework such as React, Vue, or Angular. Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first principles. Basic knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git. Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS is a plus. Knowledge of RESTful services and asynchronous request handling. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 0-2 years of experience in frontend development (internships or personal projects count). A portfolio or GitHub repo showcasing your frontend work is highly encouraged.
