Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Mississauga, ON
Pay Rate: $25.58 per hour (Monday – Friday)
Shifts: Rotating 8-hour shifts Monday to Saturday
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Battery Receiving Process (BRP) Operator to join our team in Mississauga. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the BRP Operator plays a crucial role in transporting raw materials, scrap, and recyclable materials throughout the plant. This position requires manual handling and the operation of powered equipment such as forklifts to ensure the smooth flow of materials within the plant
Responsibilities
- Safely transport raw materials, scrap, and recyclable materials throughout the plant, either manually or using forklifts, or other powered equipment.
- Sort and pick materials on production conveyors as needed.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized.
- Assist with minor maintenance and repairs when required.
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment, including power washers,.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support plant operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a production line or warehouse setting is preferred.
- Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is a asset.
- Must have completed OHSA Rights and Responsibilities and WHMIS training.
- Physical ability to perform manual material handling tasks, including lifting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs or ladders.
- Ability to wear and maintain required PPE, including respirator masks.
