GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB : Assists in routine, preventative and emergency maintenance checks to keep equipment, systems, spaces, structures, and infrastructure in proper operating condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform standard work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.
• Assist with inspections and repairs of operation of plant equipment, including but not limited to mechanical, welding, carpentry, electrical, instrumentation and controls to minimize downtime.
• Maintain inventory of critical spare parts.
• Document accurate maintenance activity records.
• Clean and maintain assigned areas and tools to ensure proper functionality.
• Cross-train on other production functions to provide assistance as business need dictates.
• Participate in the continuous improvement process.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Microsoft Office Suite

• Previous experience using enterprise software such as SAP is preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

• Forklift certification preferred
• Ability to function effectively in a team setting.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
• Demonstrates reliability, flexibility, and dependability

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:

The hourly rate/salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $24.26 and $27.96. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
