About the role

RED Mountain Resort is hiring a Security Person for the 2025/26 winter season! The role of the Security Person is to collect payment for RV spots at the resort and maintain the security of all assets on the resort. At the same time as securing the assets, this position will be the evening ambassador for the resort. This position will be responsible for keeping the guest and the on-mountain staff safe form any snow cat, human interactions. This position will work independently with evening hours of 3pm - 10pm.

Major Responsibilities

  • Collect payments from all RV sites on premises.
  • Patrol topping parking and secure area for the night by 4:30pm.
  • Patrol main parking lots and make sure there are no unauthorized vehicles parked.
  • Maintain records of all RV spots and number of nights each RV stays.
  • Being an “ambassador “ of the ski hill is very important.
  • Patrol the premises on slope for any potential snowmobiles, tobogganing, skinning up on skies, and walkers that may impede the snow grooming. This is to ensure the safety of all guests and the staff at Red.
  • Sand roads as needed.
  • Remove snow around the buildings as needed.
  • Salt walk walks as needed.
  • Maintain an open parking lot between the Josie hotel and the day lodge.
  • Communicate to the RCMP if needed.
  • Put the parking lot away ( all barriers and cones) in anticipation for snow removal
  • Communicate to supervisor all concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Wage rate: $17.85/hour
