The Best Western Plus Sands is looking for an energetic person to look after the marketing and sales for the Best Western Plus Sands / Bayside Lounge/ The Park Pub / Hideout Golf Simulator/ Show Cellar, and offsite venue Mylora Golf Course. Ideally, the potential candidate will be a sports enthusiast and will have an interest in restaurant operations, although this is not necessary, it would be beneficial for this role. Please note that this is an IN PERSON position and that the expected working hours are 11am-7pm Tuesday-Saturday with flexibility for events and personal engagements .

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Marketing + Communications Design

• Marketing strategies (events, campaigns, promos, offers etc.)
• Maintaining brand voice + individual business cultures through digital + print communications
• Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively with weekly reporting
• Design of print and digital communications materials (online/print menus, posters, notices, digital/print advertisements etc.)
• Mailchimp email campaigns
• Wix website(s) management, updates + optimization,
• Google Business

Social Media (Facebook + Instagram accounts and Tik Tok)

• Content strategy (overall digital marketing strategy, calendar strategies, seasonal/promotional campaigns, contests, collaborations)
• Content creation (graphic design, photography, photo editing, sourcing stock images)
• Creation of Reels for Instagram and Tik Tok.
• Creating content that has staff engagement
• Content management (ie. social media calendars and posts (using Later), reposts, updating instagram highlights + link in bio etc.)
• Engagement (monitoring + increasing growth, responding to comments, answering inquiries, managing contests and promos)
• General management (updating business info, ensuring consistent posting and interaction, maintaining brand voice etc.)
• Working with Influencers for each business entity

Events

• Event planning for the venues (sourcing/creating supplies + decor, creating communications, promotion of events etc.)
• Event execution (set up + decor, supporting staff as needed)
• Representing the Brands at community events and pub events to create brand awareness and potential business contacts

Ability to drive and having access to a vehicle is also beneficial.
