Mechanical Designer III

Location: Montreal
Job Type: Hybrid days per week in office
Responsibilities
- Perform finite element modeling and analysis (linear, nonlinear, static, dynamic, etc.) of mechanical and structural components.
- Interpret and validate simulation results, providing actionable recommendations to design teams.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to optimize product performance and reliability.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the development and validation of simulation methodologies and best practices.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in finite element analysis (FEA) using tools such as ANSYS, CREOsimulate, or similar.
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics, materials science, and engineering principles.
- Experience with lifting, material handling and industry standards and norms is an asset.
- Experience with CAD software (PTC CREO) is an asset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- OIQ Engineer in good standing an asset.
