Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for estimating, managing, and delivering projects from award to close-out while serving as the primary point of contact for clients. This role combines project oversight, customer relationship management, and performance tracking to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations.
What you will do
Customer Relationship Management Serve as the primary client contact from project award through final billing and close-out. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders. Provide proactive communication on project status, changes, and issues. Represent UCRS professionally and identify opportunities for repeat business and account growth.
Project Management
Manage projects through all phases, including mobilization, execution, change orders, invoicing, and close-out. Coordinate schedules, crews, equipment, subcontractors, and client requirements. Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and safety through regular site visits. Track project financial performance, manage change orders, and ensure timely billing and reporting.
Estimating
Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and tender submissions using B2W Estimate. Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. Maintain current pricing data for labour, materials, and equipment. Review awarded projects against original estimates and use performance insights to improve future bids.
What you will need
Diploma or degree in civil Engineering or construction management is preferred Minimum 3-4 years of experience in construction project coordination, estimating, or project management, preferably in civil, road, or infrastructure services. Knowledge of MTO or municipal project environments and their documentation requirements Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver excellent customer service. Experience with B2W Estimate and/or B2W Track is preferred, or the ability to learn quickly. Good understanding of construction cost control and bid-to-actual performance analysis. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Comfortable working on job sites and in varying weather conditions. Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Pay: From $85,000.00- $100,000 per year
