About the Role
At TTM, our interns are more than students - they’re valued contributors who bring fresh ideas and a passion for innovation. As a Lab Chemist Intern, you’ll work on meaningful, project-based assignments in a high-tech manufacturing environment. You’ll apply your knowledge to support and assist in developing:
- Implementing automated laboratory testing processes.
- Conduct analytical testing and collect process data to identify trends and process improvements.
- Develop and document test procedures, calibration methods, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve data acquisition and analysis systems.
- Present your findings to the Site and Regional Leadership Team at the end of your internship.
This is a hands-on opportunity to gain professional experience, expand your technical skills, and network with leaders across our organization.
What You’ll Do
- Work on a defined project deliverable from May – August 2026
- Present project updates and final results to site and regional leadership
- Learn and apply manufacturing quality systems, EHSS standards, and analytical tools
- Participate in professional development and networking sessions with peers and leaders
Eligibility
We’re looking for students who are:
- Enrolled in 3rd year or higher of a Chemical Engineering program at an accredited university.
- Eligible for a co-op or internship term (May–August 2026) through your school.
- Strong academic record with interest in analytical chemistry, lab automation, and process improvement.
- Returning to their final year of study in September 2026 (graduation no later than June 2027)
- Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents (to meet Controlled Goods Program requirements)
- Strong in academics, with a demonstrated interest in applying analytics to engineering and quality
EHSS Responsibilities
Safety and sustainability are at the core of TTM. As an intern, you will:
- Follow all EHSS policies and wear required PPE
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses immediately
- Support company recycling, waste reduction, and energy conservation programs
- Participate in EHSS training, environmental audits, and emergency drills
- Help drive continuous improvement in workplace safety and sustainability

Compensation:
Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
