Intern - Controlling Mississauga, ON / Full-time (Hybrid) Pay rate $20.90 - $24.20(per hour) Customer Service- Controlling Intern will support the CS department in its daily operations, assisting with Controlling reports, basic analysis of P&L data and ad hoc support on in house reporting.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of controlling & financial reports for customer service P&L to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes by assisting with reconciliations pricing discrepancies for parts account and P&L statement preparation.
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing sales and service goodwill documentation prepared by the field service team.
- Conduct weekly reviews of travel and expense transactions in SAP and present charges categorized under appropriate headers.
- Adjust technician inventory records in the system to reflect internal transfer of parts
- Support in collection and reconciling open items for CPD accounts.
- Monthly review of CIS Mapping for headcount reporting to prelim FHCR reporting.
- Weekly processing of service power invoicing and pricing reports.
- Perform various administrative tasks as needed to support the controlling manager
Your Profile
- 0-2 years experience (Accounting, Finance, Economics) - Preferred
- Four year college (Business or related field like accounting, finance, economics) - Preferred
- Strong analytical skills with a logical mindset
- Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities
- Solid understanding of fundamental financial and accounting concepts
- Detail-oriented with effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced team environment while adhering to strict deadlines
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
