We provide various operational logistics services such as loading, transportation and storage of surplus products. Ray-Mont Logistics is currently seeking a Class 1 Truck Driver to join its vibrant team.
Full time - Permanent position
Schedule:
Evening shift, from 1p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Friday and the possibility of overtime.
Job Description
Transport containers and intermodal units on the Island of Montreal. The trucker's journey can be characterized as follows:
- Optimize the rotation of intermodal units (empty/full) between the CN and/or CP yard and our facilities.
- Recover empty containers from the various container depots on the Island of Montreal.
- Deliver full containers to the various Port of Montreal terminals (MGT/ Termont).
The trucker will have to drive trucks with manual transmission (10 or 18-speed).
The trucker is supervised by the dispatcher associated with his/her shift.
Qualifications
- Hold a class 1 driver's license, a must;
- Have a clean driving record;
- Know how the various terminals of the Port and some container depots on the Island of Montreal work, a must;
- 3+ years experience in driving heavy vehicles;
- Knowledge and/or experience of container work;
- DEP in heavy vehicle driving / or training in an equivalent discipline, an asset;
- B-Train experience, a great asset;
- Ability to get along with co-workers;
- Available for overtime;
- Have good job references.
