Title: Manager, Marketing and Communications, AMI-télé
AMI is a media company that entertains, informs and empowers Canadians who have disabilities. We establish and support a voice for Canadians with disabilities, representing their interests, concerns and values through accessible media, reflection and positive portrayal.
We are currently looking for a Manager of Marketing and Communications to join our AMI-télé team in Montreal. Under the leadership of the Vice President, Marketing and Communications, this role will align with AMI’s corporate strategic plan by developing, implementing, and managing all marketing and communications initiatives internally and externally. AMI has a flexible work arrangement policy, giving people the opportunity to work remotely and in-office based on departmental needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of AMI’s marketing and communication strategies and implementation plans internally and externally.
- Monitor marketing KPI’s to ensure strategies are executed effectively and report on progress.
- Reinforce AMI’s brand and image within the organization and externally by developing and implementing multimedia communication programs (eg AMI’s Digital platforms, social media, Public Relations, Media Relations, Corporate/Community Partnerships and Sponsorships etc.)
- Build and maintain AMI’s brand awareness and Brand Health by identifying opportunities to communicate and inform the public/target of the organization and its services. Includes managing the website and social media activities, speaking engagements, writing/adapting articles, translation etc.
- Support the development of and implement the research strategy in alignment with Production to enhance content promotion and awareness and audience engagement.
- Oversee and direct corporate research initiatives.
- Support the financial objectives by participating in the development of the annual marketing budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variance and initiating corrective action.
- Identify and maintain staffing levels by planning and assessing the internal and external resource requirements, and by participating in the recruitment and selection process.
- Manage the performance review cycle for internal staff through communicating job expectations, planning and conducting performance evaluations, providing ongoing coaching and counselling, and creating training and development plans.
- Establishes a collaborative relationship with key individuals at the BDU’s to ensure awareness of changes, resolution of technical issues and maximizing the distribution of AMI’s services.
- Maintain rapport with media representatives, participates in media events and responds to media inquiries by developing relationships, providing information, arranging interviews and tours, developing information strategies, coaching responders and resolving concerns.
- Represent the organization at industry-related events by determining company involvement, presence at conventions, annual meetings associations etc.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements:
- Bilingual English-French mandatory.
- BA degree in Marketing/Communications, Journalism or related field or equivalent combination of education or experience. Previous Board and or governance experience.
- Experience: 5-8 years’ experience in the Communications/ Public Relations, Experience in media.
- Strong knowledge of Broadcast and Digital Content industry trends.
- Good knowledge of media production techniques and methods including pre-production stages, script writing and booking of talent and resources.
- Strong communicator with highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to multi—task and set priorities
