Job Summary Our GDI Ainsworth Head Office is looking to host a co-op placement for a student who can contribute fresh ideas, create content, and research industry trends. This role will work collaboratively with the HR communications team and global marketing team to conduct research that improves our employer brand, communications, and strategy. Reporting directly to the HR Programs Manager, the ideal candidate has a strong understanding of brand marketing, social media, and digital marketing strategies, as well as an interest in working on high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Write copy for social media posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral relating to employer branding or internal communications and initiatives.
- Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for external and internal marketing channels.
- Collaborate with creative teams to help improve content deliverables across various teams, including digital, social, paid media, communications, and more
- Support teams to plan, develop, and execute employer branding initiatives
- Complete projects related to employer branding, content creation, and social media marketing
- Assist with the preparation of campaigns and reports
- Assist in the maintenance of internal SharePoint sites
- General team support of the HR Communications team’s overall responsibilities
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Basic knowledge of marketing principles and industry trends
- Proven aptitude in seeking creative solutions to multi-faceted challenges
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Highly computer-literate with strong capabilities in MS Office, Canva, and related business and communication tools
- Experience with video editing software and platforms is an asset
- Photoshop experience is an asset
- French language skills are an asset
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality

The salary range is $40,000 - $45,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data. The base salary is just one component of Ainsworth’s total compensation package, which also includes additional rewards and benefits such as short-term incentives and health insurance, among others.
