Role Description The Accounting Supervisor is a full-time role responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and supporting accurate financial reporting for TOC Logistics. This hybrid position is based in Vaughan, ON, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Daily responsibilities include supervising accounts payable and receivable activities, reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely month-end and year-end close processes. The Accounting Supervisor will prepare and review financial statements and reports, monitor budgets, assist with cash flow management, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. The role also involves guiding and mentoring accounting team members, improving processes, and collaborating with operations and management to support data-driven financial decisions.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Statements, with the ability to interpret and present financial information clearly. Demonstrated Analytical Skills to review data, identify trends, and support operational and strategic decisions. Proficiency with Accounting Software and tools, including experience implementing or optimizing systems and workflows. Experience in Financial Reporting, including month-end and year-end close, management reports, and compliance documentation. Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting designation (CPA or in progress) is an asset. Demonstrates ability to lead in a supervisory or lead accounting role. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting and support cross-functional teams.
