About the role

Document Control/Turnover Coordinator Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Document Control/Turnover Coordinator will be based out of the Bird Fabrication shop in Nisku, AB. What You Will Be Working On Turnover/Quality Responsibilities: Assemble turnover documentation in alignment with Client/Regulatory requirements, as well as Bird’s Quality Management System, including: Develop and maintain turnover indices in alignment with client requirements Compile required records, including Redlines from field/shop for as-built drawing Read and Interpret construction drawings such as P&ID’s, isometrics, general arrangements & shop drawings Review of 3rd party records including NDE reports, Coating/painting reports, etc. Create and maintain inspection records and reports including logs, forms (both QMS and regulatory – i.e. AB-83) and other turnover documentation Responsible for verifying Material Traceability and compiling project Material Test Reports Responsible for weld mapping and Red Line Drawings Maintain Facility Calibration Records Work closely with inspectors & construction teams (internal and client) to ensure all project deliverables are met Prepare and submit final turnover packages/data books to clients, ensuring completeness and acceptance Ensure all documents are audit-ready and compliant with project specifications Support internal and external audits by providing complete and traceable documentation Other duties as assigned Document Control Responsibilities: Transmit and track project submittals/documents and track review statuses, ensuring proper revision control is maintained Generate, track and log incoming/outgoing transmittals to/from client and subcontractors utilizing company document databases What We Are Looking For Strong understanding of: Piping isometrics and line lists Structural steel piece marking systems Familiarity with: Heat number traceability Weld maps and spool tracking High attention to detail (critical for audit) Ability to cross-check multiple documents for consistency Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Proficient with computer programs, including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office For Those Who Seek to Redefine The greatest achievements in history are borne from the greatness within people – where human potential meets vision, and passion fuels evolution.
