About the role
Brannon Steel is looking for a CAD Operator to join the team at its Brampton manufacturing facility. You will use mechanical design principles and CAD/CAM applications such as SolidWorks, MasterCAM, Radan / RadBend and Draftsight to turn customer drawings and specifications into production CAD files for a variety of industrial processes.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Responsibilities
- Interpret customer designs and specifications.
- Operate industrial CAD / CAM software to output production drawings and layouts.
- Communicate with sales and engineering staff regarding work requirements.
- Provide information and support to production staff.
- Maintain standards for document control, quality, and traceability.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper files.
Requirements
- Completion of a post-secondary mechanical design or similar program OR equivalent experience.
- Proficient with Solidworks. Experience with other applications such as MasterCAM, ProNest, Radan / RadBend and Draftsight is an asset.
- Fluent in both imperial and metric systems.
- Working knowledge of GD&T.
- Read, write, and speak English at a conversational level.
- Complete work independently based on assigned priorities.
- Able to work Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm.
