Principal Technical Program Manager, Campaign Management
Top Benefits
About the role
Amazon Advertising generated $60 billion+ in revenue in 2025 and continues to
grow at 20%+ year-over-year, making it one of the largest and fastest-growing digital advertising businesses in the world. The Campaign Management team builds the software that over a million advertisers use every day to manage, optimize, and scale their campaigns across this ecosystem. Our systems serve hundreds of millions of page views monthly and are used by everyone from small sellers running their first campaign to the world's largest agencies managing thousands simultaneously.
We are an engineering organization based in Toronto, New York, and Seattle. Five
specialized teams cover campaign dashboards and analytics, bulk operations at scale, AI-powered experiences, advertiser workflow simplification, and frameworks. Together we own the full lifecycle of how advertisers manage their campaigns on Amazon.
This is an exciting time to join. We are evolving from traditional campaign
tooling into intelligent, AI-native advertiser experiences. We shipped our first AI-powered campaign agent to production this year, and the pace of innovation is accelerating. The technical surface area is broad and rewarding: frontend experiences at scale, backend APIs serving millions of advertisers, deep metrics and analytics systems, and emerging AI architectures.
We are looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead our most
impactful cross-team programs. You will define strategy for multi-quarter initiatives, drive technical alignment across distributed systems, and partner closely with engineering, product, and science leaders to deliver outcomes that matter for advertisers. You will work directly with Director and VP-level stakeholders and have meaningful ownership over what gets built and how it ships.
The right person for this role brings strong technical depth, thrives in
ambiguity, and energizes the teams around them. You will build the mechanisms and operational practices that help a high-performing organization move even faster. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role with direct visibility to senior leadership in one of Amazon's most dynamic businesses, based in Toronto with strong local team and leadership presence. Basic Qualifications: - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition Preferred Qualifications: - 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience with AI/ML or LLM-powered product architectures in production
