About the role
The Director, Healthcare Strategy and Data Analytics, will design, own and lead various workstreams supporting Canada segment healthcare strategy. In this capacity you will support growth initiatives for our healthcare strategy and leverage the power of data to identify new opportunities, support solution design, and gather insights on performance and assess ROI of launched initiatives. For net new areas for the business, you will conduct research, develop supportive business cases for leadership review and buy in.
Key responsibilities:
Support healthcare strategy
- Support the assessment of healthcare market opportunities and industry players as part of driving the Company’s healthcare growth vision and ambition
- Act as a thought partner and drive market research activities to gather relevant insights, and support the business in developing future focused business strategies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the competitive landscape and key implications for the business
- Work with cross-functional teams to support the execution of various activities and milestones
- Lead development of various deliverables and business cases, synthesize key takeaways from analysis and support communication of key insights across the enterprise
Leading Data Strategy Initiatives
- Set objectives on key initiatives, conduct in-depth analysis of existing data sets, conduct external market research and provide recommendations on the next actionable steps.
- Maximize the value of data across various business segments to support internal business decision making to enable our health strategy.
- Collaborate closely with various teams including Data, Advanced Analytics, Distribution, and Product to build a nuanced, data-driven understanding of customer health needs and pain points.
- Identify and analyze longitudinal claims data, digital engagement data, external research, and market trends to inform health strategy.
- In collaboration with the Product team, adopt a solution-focused mindset to develop and communicate strategic recommendations such as health plan design changes and utilization of net new health interventions.
- Design, build, and maintenance of analytics reports and dashboards to identify key insights, and track growth across various initiatives
- Work with marketing to develop external-facing case studies and thought leadership / publications.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant experience, healthcare strategy, data analytics or comparable roles. Management consulting experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to generate high-quality presentations, materials, and artefacts for diverse internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrated ability and confidence to deliver and present to senior leadership.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking ability.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills and proven experience working with cross-functional teams (product, technology, marketing, sales, operations)
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyze, and translate health interventions data into meaningful insights.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex data trends into understandable concepts.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple competing priorities, and adapt to changing demands.
- High level of self-motivation with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business administration, life science, Healthcare, Healthcare Management, Analytics or a related field
- Experience working with health claims data considered to be an asset

Salary range is expected to be between
$145,130.00 CAD - $195,130.00 CAD
Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
