Position Description

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead the design and governance of secure, scalable, and future-ready solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. In this role, you will work closely with business, product, and engineering teams to shape cloud-native and hybrid architectures that align with enterprise standards and modern best practices.

Your future duties and responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture across application, data, integration, and infrastructure.
• Develop design patterns, reusable components, and architectural best practices.
• Translate business and non-functional requirements into secure, scalable Azure architectures.
• Provide technical leadership through design, build, deployment, and release phases.
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and governance standards.
• Conduct architectural risk assessments and collaborate with security teams.
• Mentor engineers and junior architects; lead design reviews and decision forums.

Compute: Azure App Service, AKS, Functions

Integration: API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Logic Apps

Data: Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage

Security: Entra ID (Azure AD), Key Vault

Architecting for scalability, performance efficiency, and resilience.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• 6+ years’ experience in solution/cloud architecture or enterprise application design.
• Hands-on expertise designing solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience leading architecture for large-scale or mission-critical systems.
• Strong skills in Azure PaaS, containers, microservices, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity, and DevOps (Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD).
• Strong understanding of security, identity, and zero-trust concepts.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex ideas.

Preferred

• Azure certifications (AZ‑305, AZ‑104, or similar).
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms and API management at scale.
• Experience working with global or distributed delivery teams.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115,000 - $165,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
