IT System Administrator
About the role
Key member of the Group IT team responsible for managing the local IT infrastructure in the Mpac Langen Mississauga site.
Providing first and second line IT support for all areas of the business.
Working closely with Group IT Team to provide IT support to all Mpac employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, manage and maintain, the technical infrastructure and application systems of the business
- Provide timely 1st and second line support to all users, including offsite mobile, and overseas Mpac personnel.
- Maintain effective processes to manage and respond to user issues
- Ensure that the IT infrastructure security is effectively maintained to the high standards required.
- Maintain server backups in accordance with Mpac business continuity plan
- Ensure key IT services information is documented and maintained
- Ensure software licensing compliance
- IT Expenses, Budgets and procurement
- Procurement or IT equipment inline with Group DOA and Mpac technology standards
- Operate within Group delegation of authority limits at all times
- Other duties as may be required

- Clearly demonstrates understanding of the role of IT in supporting the efficient daytoday operation of the business
- Problem Solving
- Able to demonstrate well developed IT system problem solving skills
- Well organized
- Able to effectively set priorities and manage multiple tasks to meet agreed delivery targets
- Structured approach to planning and executing projects
- Good communication skills
- Good command of English (written and verbal)
- Collaborates well with colleagues
- Strong knowledge and experience with
- Active Directory services in a multisite and domain environment
- Firewall Systems including an understanding of VPN services
- Microsoft Server and client operating systems (2008/2012/2016,7/10)
- Microsoft Exchange
- TCP/IP network including configuration of switches and routers
- IP Phone Systems
- Virtualisation technologies (including VMWare ESXI)
- Azure/AWS
- Support of Android and IOS mobile devices
- Hardware/Software troubleshooting
