Manpower is partnering with a leading energy-sector organization to recruit a Senior Finance Systems & Data Validation Professional for a high-profile transformation initiative involving the migration from HFM to Oracle FCCS. This is a key role supporting end-to-end validation of financial data, journal entries, consolidations, and reporting results to ensure a seamless transition and successful delivery of SIT, UAT, parallel close, and the January 2027 go-live.
About the Project
Project: HFM to FCCS Migration Workstream: Data Validation – Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS)
The project is transitioning the organization’s financial consolidation platform from HFM to Oracle FCCS. Data validation is a critical path activity and includes validation of opening balances, 2026 monthly data, converted HFM journals, consolidation results, reporting outputs, and key financial statement impacts. The successful candidate will work closely with finance, consolidation, reporting, technology, and implementation partner resources to identify data issues, support remediation, and reduce go-live risk.
What They Will Do
Execute FCCS data validation activities for assigned periods, entities, accounts, currencies, and consolidation levels. Validate Oracle GL/ERP data loads, converted HFM journal data, opening balances, periodic activity, and FCCS consolidation outputs. Compare FCCS results to HFM and other source data using Smart View, Excel validation workbooks, reports, ad hoc queries, and reconciliations. Review base entity and consolidation-level results in functional currency and CAD, including investigation of material variances. Identify, document, triage, and retest issues related to mapping, account rollups, entity hierarchy, journals, intercompany eliminations, plug accounts, translation, consolidation, data loads, and reporting outputs. Maintain validation evidence, status updates, screenshots, defect details, retesting results, and remediation notes in QTest or other project tracking tools. Partner with finance, reporting, consolidation, technology, and implementation resources to support timely issue resolution. Support SIT, UAT, parallel close, and go-live readiness by ensuring validation outcomes are complete, evidenced, and aligned to acceptance criteria. Track assigned work, escalate blockers and risks, and provide clear progress updates through project meetings and huddles. Recommend improvements to validation templates, workpapers, and repeatable processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
What We Are Looking For
Senior-level experience in accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, finance systems, or finance transformation. Strong understanding of financial close, consolidation, legal entity reporting, intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, journal entries, and financial statement reporting. Experience validating data between legacy and target systems during a system implementation, ERP/EPM migration, or finance transformation. Ability to investigate complex data issues, trace balances across systems, identify root causes, and communicate findings clearly. Advanced Excel skills, including complex reconciliations, variance analysis, formulas, pivot tables, and large data set review. Strong documentation discipline, including the ability to maintain clear validation evidence, issue descriptions, test results, and status reporting. Ability to work independently, manage assigned validation work, and escalate risks or blockers in a fast-paced project environment. Professional accounting designation or equivalent senior finance experience is preferred.
