Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major components of landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

The Missions Are As Follows

Perform visual, dimensional, and specific inspections of our parts for which polishing operations are subcontracted and verify the documentation. Perform visual, dimensional, and specific inspections of our parts for which processing operations are subcontracted (HVOF, Nickel, Chrome, etc.) and verify the documentation. Perform visual, dimensional, and specific inspections of our parts according to established operational ranges and verify the documentation. When applicable, perform rework on parts. Carry out other tasks related to handling and receiving/shipping. Create, if necessary, non-conformity reports in the QIS system. Communicate, if necessary, with Supplier Quality, Methods, Procurement, and Planning teams. Record transactions in SAP. Ensure sampling of parts inspection. Perform other tasks related to receiving/shipping.

Education and experience

High School Diploma (equivalence not accepted)

2 years of experience in visual and dimensional inspection. 2 years of experience in polishing or grinding.

Technical Skills

Ability to inspect polished parts (finishes, radii, etc.). Ability to read and interpret drawings. Knowledge of quality assurance principles. Ability to write Non-conformities in QIS. Knowledge of our various parts and the manufacturing process. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.).

Day shift, Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Note: Depending on the collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (evening, night, or weekend).

The salary for this position starts between $26.91 and $36.59 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progress in acquiring job-related skills, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $40.62. An annual profit-sharing program (max $3500/year).
