About The Role Exciting Opportunity: Quality Control Technician I Are you detail-oriented and ready to play a key role in maintaining product safety and compliance? We’re looking for a Quality Control Technician I (QC Tech I) to join our team and help ensure adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) , Good Production Practices (GPP) , and Health Canada regulations . In this role, you'll perform in-process checks, review documentation, approve room and equipment releases, and support product sampling. If you have a background in science or cannabis, strong analytical skills, and a sharp eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What You’ll Be Doing As a QC Tech I, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing surface, equipment, and environmental swabbing to verify cleanliness and compliance
- Reviewing and approving cleaning records, room activity logs, and scale verifications
- Approving room and equipment releases prior to use
- Monitoring in-process controls and responding to deviations
- Sampling raw cannabis, packaging labels, and finished products
- Inspecting documentation to ensure adherence to GDP
- Applying status labels (e.g., Approved, Quarantine, Release)
- Supporting the Quality Manager with additional tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of experience in a scientific or cannabis-related field
- Familiarity with safe food handling (HACCP experience is a strong asset)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and communication skills
