About the role
Assignment:
- Full-time 1.0 FTE probationary teaching position
- Courseload to include: Grade 7 Math, Science, Physical Education 10/20/30, Physical Education grade 7-9 and a junior high option class
- Possibility to become the school Athletic Director, dependent on skill and qualifications of the successful applicant
- Duties to commence August 26, 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching in courses as mentioned above would be considered an asset
- Experience in Physical Education instruction would be considered an asset
- Teaching experience in grades 7-12
- Strong interpersonal and professional skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth
- Passion for education and a commitment to student success
- Strong technology and 21st-century learning skills
- Effective classroom management that facilitates safe, caring, and inclusive spaces for all students
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment and be a positive team member
- Ability to use varied instructional strategies to meet a wide range of individual needs and abilities
