About the role
Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Financial Analyst FP&A – NAM Retail, you will deliver reporting and analysis to support key decision making across Arc’teryx. You will have the opportunity to develop and maintain systems used in the financial planning process and will assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and strategic business plans with regards to our retail business.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. (No visa sponsorship)
Meet your future team:
The Financial Planning & Analysis team at Arc’teryx is responsible for providing leadership with the information they need to review past performance, understand business trends, and anticipate future profitability and financial position. Through review of historic financials, variance analysis and KPI tracking, FP&A advises leadership on key investment decisions and performance improvement.
If you were the Financial Analyst, FP&A – NAM Retail now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

- Developing, improving and maintaining key FP&A owned performance reporting and reporting processes
- Developing presentations and training materials to support North America Retail leadership, area directors and regional managers to help them understand and interpret the retail business
- Owning the sales and operating expense planning and reporting processes for Arc’teryx new circular ReBird business line in addition to the cafe at our New York flagship location
- Developing specific ReBird and Cafe sales & KPI performance reporting, providing insight into performance drivers
- Involvement in long term strategic business plans for North America Retail
- Ensuring data quality for month, quarter, and year end close of books in SAP and Oracle, working in collaboration with the financial controlling team to identify and resolve issues when they arise relating to opex
- Responsible for the loading and reconciling of forecasts and budgets into planning systems
- Providing financial expertise and guidance to business leaders as needed
- Preparing ad hoc financial information as required

Are you our next Financial Analyst, FP&A – NAM Retail?

- You have 4+ years proven experience in an Accounting, Financial Analyst, or an equivalent role
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or an equivalent field. A professional accounting designation is preferred
- You have exceptional attention to detail
- You have experience in processes creation and process improvement, with a focus on creation of standardized and scalable processes
- You have advanced analytical skills with a strong aptitude for MS Excel and data analysis tools. Experience with SAP, Oracle EPM, and Power BI is a strong asset
- You are highly proficient in accounting systems and business intelligence (BI) tools
- You can prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can collaborate with individuals across departments, organizations, and countries
- You can coordinate and lead projects to completion
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You can balance autonomy and collaboration
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$82,000 - CAD$102,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
