JOB DESCRIPTION
AAA Canada is looking for a Mechanical Technician to bring their expertise to our team. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and certifying various mechanical and electrical components according to quality and safety standards. They will ensure equipment functions properly, collaborate with other teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform tests on various components
- Diagnose issues and identify components to repair/replace
- Establish estimates for the work to be performed
- While following procedure manuals, carry out maintenance, repair, or overhaul of components
- Perform tasks for which they are certified, in compliance with established time, usage, and efficiency standards
- Provide follow-up when necessary on defects, tasks, repairs, and corrections assigned to the technician
- Provide status updates on work performed, including special update requests if needed
- Deliver hands-on training to colleagues as requested by the Cell Leader
- Certify the proper use of materials, methods, work procedures, and safety regulations
- Ensure that health and safety standards are respected and maintained
- Collaborate and coordinate with other teams or departments as needed
- Stay informed about major activities within the organization and respond promptly via the appropriate communication channels
- Perform other related duties as required
Skills and qualifications
- DEP in Mechanical Assembly or DEC in Aircraft Maintenance, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydromechanical, and electrical systems, as well as maintenance and certification procedures
- Ability to diagnose, repair, and test components according to quality and safety standards
- Team spirit, attention to detail, autonomy, and strict adherence to workplace health and safety rules
- Bilingualism (French – English), both spoken and written, is required to read and understand maintenance manuals
