About this Opportunity
The Surveillance Intern is a developmental opportunity to expose students or recent graduates to regulatory surveillance work while supporting operational capacity with potential for full time employment.
Core Responsibilities:

Assist with the review and analysis of surveillance alerts and follow-up work

Support data analysis, reporting, and documentation activities

Help identify trends, anomalies, and emerging market risks

Contribute to process improvements, automation, and analytics initiatives

Work with senior surveillance staff on ad-hoc projects
What You Bring
Must-haves
-
Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field

Strong analytical and quantitative skills
-
Familiarity with Python, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau or other data tools is an asset
-
Interest in capital markets and market integrity
-
Strong communication and organizational skills
-
Clear and concise communicator

Excellent critical thinking skills
-
Great organizational and time management skills
-
Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
Nice to Haves

Working knowledge of capital markets, banking, the securities industry, government or analytics is an asset
